Short Bio
Marco van Dijk is registered a Professional Engineer (PrEng), a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Pretoria (South Africa) and a Principal Researcher for WRC research projects. He graduated from the University of Pretoria with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1996, completed his BEng(Hons) degree in 1998. He obtained a MEng degree in Water Resource Engineering in 2003 and he is currently enrolled for a PhD. He has compiled numerous technical reports and journal publications in the field of pipelines, hydropower generation and water distributions systems. He has also presented numerous courses and workshops on network analyses, pipeline engineering and hydropower generation. He is a member of SAICE, SANCOLD and WISA and Affiliate member of ASCE.
